What Are The Steel Processing Machines

Rebar bending machines

Rebar cutting machine

Straightening and cutting machine

Cold drawing machine

The winch cold-drawing machine uses a winch to stretch the rebar through a pulley set. The cold drawing speed is around 5 m/min and can pull coarse and fine reinforcement, but covers a large area. Resistance cold drawing machines are used for the stretching of coiled bars up to 8 mm in diameter.

This machine can be combined with a straightening and cutting machine to produce a fixed length of cold drawn steel bar directly.

Cold drawing machine

This machine is used to draw 6 to 10 mm diameter Grade 1 reinforcing bars through a carbide or tungsten carbide wire drawing die with a diameter of less than 0.5 to 1 mm. 

During cold drawing, the reinforcement is subjected to plastic deformation by tension and extrusion at the same time, and the cross-sectional area of the drawn reinforcement is reduced, resulting in cold work strengthening and an increase in tensile strength of 40-90%.

Rebar Heading Machine

A machine that upsets the ends of reinforcement bars as anchor heads for prestressing bars or cold drawing bars. Heading machines are available in mechanical and hydraulic versions. 

The hydraulic header works on the following principle: when the hydraulic cylinder pushes the clamp to clamp the rebar, the header die moves forward to squeeze the head of the rebar and then the spring pushes the die back and relaxes the clamp, i.e. a header is completed.

Rebar welding machines

In addition to the usual arc welding machines and spot welding machines, butt welding machines and multi-head spot welding machines are commonly used to butt the reinforcing bars and make the reinforcing mesh, which are characterised by high efficiency and low electricity consumption. 

The working principle of contact butt welding is to clamp the reinforcement bars into two electrodes separately and to make contact with the ends of the bars when the power is switched on. 

A strong short-circuit current is blocked at the contact, generating a high temperature that melts the metal and applies even more squeezing pressure to weld it together. As the metal melts and splashes in all directions, a flash is formed, so it is called flash welding. 

The multi-head spot welder is generally capable of completing multiple processing procedures such as straightening, mesh hauling and cutting, and can automate the production of shaped mesh.

4, steel prestressing machinery: mainly electric oil pumps and jacks and other components of the tensioning machine and header machine, used for steel prestressing tensioning operations.
